Declare the contents and insurance of each box when generating an international shipment
In the Create Shipment confirmation, you can declare the products of an international shipment from Split by Box. Choose Same Content to repeat the list across all boxes, or Different per Box to fill in each one separately. The declared value is calculated using the price and quantity, and you can enable Envia Insurance box by box. The system replicates or separates the content depending on the mode selected, and displays the total insured amount in the summary. This is used when shipping kits, multiple boxes, or different values, or when you wish to insure only some of them. This way, the commercial invoice reflects what is inside each package, reducing the risk of the shipment being held by customs.
Benefits
- You can choose whether all the boxes carry the same content or each one declares different products, value, and insurance.
- The declared value is calculated from price and quantity, and the summary adds up the insured amount for the boxes you have protected.
- Your buyer and customs can see the actual contents of each box, which reduces holds and claims over a mismatched value.
Note
This declaration appears when you confirm the label, after obtaining a quote. For a domestic shipment or consolidated cargo, the form is different.
