Define who pays import taxes for each of your international stores
When you sell to other countries, shipments may generate import duties and taxes. Now you can define that configuration store by store from Ecommerce Pro, choosing from available options depending on the carrier. With DHL you can use Envía Garantizado, where duties are prepaid at checkout and the recipient pays nothing on delivery. With FedEx and UPS you can choose whether the recipient or sender pays. If you use Shopify with DHL and Envía Garantizado, buyers see a detailed breakdown at checkout.
Benefits
- Configure who pays import taxes independently for each connected store, without applying the same rule to all
- Your Shopify buyers see the breakdown of duties and taxes directly at checkout, reducing surprises when the package arrives
- Adapt your cost strategy per carrier, destination country or store type, without global configurations that do not fit each case
Note
Envía Garantizado with prepaid duties is available with DHL. The visual breakdown at checkout applies to Shopify only. On other platforms with real-time rates, prepaid duties are included in the total rate without being shown separately.
