Complete product code and manufacturer ID for DHL or FedEx shipments to the European Union
When you declare a product on a DHL or FedEx shipment to the European Union, you enter the code you use to identify that product in your store and the manufacturer's code. Both are required. The package barcode is optional. If the product is already in your directory, Envia fills in your store code, and if you mark that you manufacture it, it copies that code into the manufacturer field. This applies when you sell to a buyer in Spain, France, Germany, or another European Union country with these carriers. Without your store code or the manufacturer code, the label isn't generated, and the carrier may reject the shipment starting November 1, 2026.
Benefits
- You enter your store code and the manufacturer code, and if you make the product yourself, you can use the same code in both fields.
- If the product is in your directory, Envia fills in the saved code and, when you indicate that you manufacture it, copies that value into the manufacturer field.
- DHL and FedEx receive the product with its identification, so your buyer's shipment isn't held up by missing codes.
Note
These codes are only required with DHL or FedEx when the destination is a European Union country. The barcode is optional, and a non-standard format doesn't prevent the label from being generated.
